the-mansion-of-your-moon
The Mansion of Your Moon

The house among the stars your Moon was born in, and the days she comes home to it.

Long before the sky was divided into twelve signs, those who slept under it watched where the Moon stood each night and named her twenty-eight stopping-places. The Arabs called them the mansions, and marked each one with a star: the Pleiades, Aldebaran, Regulus, Spica, Antares, and the quieter stars between them. The Moon passes through one of these houses in a little under a day, and at the minute you were born she was standing in exactly one of them.

This reading finds that house and gives you its full chapter. You will read which stars keep it and what the old books made of it; what a Moon raised in that house is given, and what it does well to watch for; and how to live easily with it. You will be given the days in the coming year on which the Moon comes home to the house she was born in, with the hour she enters it and the hour she leaves, in your own clock's time. Once a month, for a little under a day, the inner weather returns to its first note, and the chapter tells you what that day is good for and what it asks you to go gently with. Each homecoming can be written into your calendar as a small appointment with yourself. And because the Sun, the rising degree and the planets each stand in one of the twenty-eight houses as well, the reading tells you theirs, more briefly, so that the whole chart can be seen by the Moon's light.

The mansions here are measured against the stars themselves, as the old watchers measured them, so that Aldebaran stands in the house of Aldebaran and Antares in the house of Antares. Every star of your mansion is linked to its chapter in the Book of Fixed Stars.

The reading needs the day, the hour and the place of your birth, because the Moon moves her own width in an hour and a house is only a day wide. It opens in your browser, made for the chart you give at checkout, and comes with a PDF book of your chapter, to keep, set out as it would be in print.

Your reading is composed the moment your order is placed and ready for you at once at your account dashboard.
